Focus on the skills you need

There are four mandatory and two optional units in this qualification. The four mandatory units are:
  • Manage your own resources
  • Develop productive working relationships with your colleagues
  • Allocate and check work in your team
  • Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety
The optional units include units focus on developing your leadership skills, encouraging innovation in your team, dealing with difficult issues like poor performance, and improving the way your team deals with customer services issues. Work with your employer or training provider to map units to your role, needs and skills gaps.

Learners must complete the mandatory units to gain their SVQ and are able to customise their development by choosing 2 additional units from the range of 10 available optional units
